Welcome To Camp 1
Kickoff your summer with a fun filled week at Camp 1 on Anvil Island! If you are between the ages of 13-15 we would love to have you come and experience a week to remember as we enjoy God’s creation. You can expect a high energy week full of awesome wide-games (some quite messy) and activities, delicious meals and hearing from the Word of God. As staff we aim to create a comfortable environment and exciting summer camp experience all the while sharing the good news of salvation and the love of Christ to those around.
CAMP 1, 2017 THEME
This year at Camp 1 we are going back in time, digitally, to the games we first experienced as kids. We will be bringing to life classic video games with the likes of Pacman, Tetris, Super Mario and many more. Sure, these were all fun playing on a screen, but imagine actually being physically in the game! At camp 1 we will do just that. In chapel our speaker, Jutt Hale from Seattle, Washington will be speaking to us on how we can know Christ, live for him and learn from God’s word. Combine all this with the amazing meals our cooks serve up and we are looking at one fantastic week of camp!

Each week brings about 75 volunteer staff dedicated to making this week an awesome experience for your child. Each camp has a Nurse or Doctor on staff, 4 certified lifeguards and 2 advanced first-aid attendants. The majority of our staff have served for many consecutive years and all have pre-camp training, criminal record checks and reference checks. A typical cabin has a Sr. Cabin Leader and a Junior Cabin Leader for 10 kids. We are committed to making this a safe, fun and loving environment for your child.

Meet the Director
Hey, I’m Aaron Funston and I have been going to Daybreak Point Bible Camp every year since the age of 11 where I started as a boys camp #4 camper. I loved Anvil so much I continued on as a volunteer on staff since the age of 14. Anvil is a passion of mine and each year I am blessed to experience God work in my life through camp and see him work in the lives of campers and fellow staff as well. I am very blessed to have an incredible wife, Candice, who I essentially got to know through volunteering at Anvil. We currently live in Cloverdale, BC with our two wonderful kids, Cohen and Siena (and one more on the way!) and look forward to going back to Anvil every summer. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or would like to know more about camp 1.
