Welcome To Camp 8

Camp 8 is for 16-19 year old teens and you will have plenty of time to enjoy all that Anvil has to offer. Sports, outings, and themed events are mixed with enough freedom in the afternoons to hangout with each other, soak in the Anvil environment and contemplate the spiritual teachings in the Chapel times.  We intentionally create space for interactions with each other, which is different from the junior teens camp experience.

Board Games!

Get ready to get in the game. Literally. This summer, you’ll find yourself starring in board game classics like Monopoly, Guess Who?, Clue, Battleship, Candy Land, Snakes and Ladders, and maybe even 52-Pickup. It’s going to be a spectacular week of ol’ fashioned dice-rolling, card-dealing, and pawn-hopping shenanigans. You’d better start practicing.

Costumes are required (please check with your cabin leader first for your cabin’s assignment).  And don’t forget to bring old clothes… or to pass “Go” and collect $200.

We are looking forward to it!  If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at

Each week brings about 75 volunteer staff dedicated to making this week an awesome experience for your child. Each camp has a Nurse or Doctor on staff, 4 certified lifeguards and 2 advanced first-aid attendants. The majority of our staff have served for many consecutive years and all have pre-camp training, criminal record checks and reference checks. A typical cabin has a Sr. Cabin Leader and a Junior Cabin Leader for 10 kids. We are committed to making this a safe, fun and loving environment for your child.

Meet the Director

Nathan Lim’s first experience of Anvil was as a Camp 8 camper 17 years ago, the same year he met his lovely wife Leah (at camp). They now have 3 wonderful children who also get to enjoy all that Anvil has to offer. When Nate isn’t directing camp he enjoys his career as an ER physician.
