Things are getting rolling here in the office, with Missions Fest January 26-28, the Banquet May 5 and camper registration now LIVE, we are gearing up for another amazing year at Daybreak! As some of you may know, our Administrator Shannon Fenton is beginning her maternity leave and I (Kayla Elderton) will be taking over for her in the Office.
Some of you may recognize me as the former Canteen Coordinator, but before I was Summer Staff I was a workers kid, a camper (camp 5,7,8,11), cabin leader, media crew and program team member. I have loved all the positions I’ve taken on with Daybreak and last summer I transitioned into the role of Office Administrative Assistant. Through this role I have been able to see all the work that goes on behind the scenes at Anvil, as well as go up to camp and meet a lot of you! I am so thankful for my Daybreak community and am excited to be taking on this new role.
I am expectant for what 2018 has to bring, as some of my fondest memories growing up were on Anvil Island. So, I look forward to hearing from you, exchanging stories and helping you register as campers or staff! I know God is going to do amazing things this year through Daybreak (as he does every year!) and I invite you to consider being involved in our ministry & community this year in whatever capacity you have.
