One of the key elements of fulfiling our requirements to our insurance providers and regulatory bodies (BCCA) is the Criminal Records Check. We recognize that this can be a bit of an administrative challenge, and places an additional strain on our volunteers who give so much; however, we need to do our part to protect the children parents have placed in our care. This is only one of the ways we do this. You have 2 options to complete your Criminal Records check. Because of new governmental regulations, for 2010 we are strongly recommending everyone get a Criminal Record Check at their local precinct, and we are strongly recommending you do it now. producing a valid criminal records check prior to coming to the island is mandatory for all staff over the age of 18.1) Print the attached letter to your local precinct to have it processed. PLEASE NOTE: some municipalities can take up to six weeks to complete a CRC. Please ask prior to submitting it. Daybreak is not responsible for delays in CRC processing. 2) You may complete the CRC through BackCheck. To do a Criminal Records Check through Back Check requires 8 steps.
