Why Choose Anvil This Summer?
Summer is an incredibly busy time for every family, so why choose to spend a week with us on Anvil? If you're considering Anvil this summer, but not 100% decided, this page is for you!
ENCOUNTER
If you have never heard of Jesus before then we are excited you get to meet Him on Anvil this summer. As staff we are passionate about your relationship with Jesus and we can't wait to share that with you this summer. For those of you who already met Jesus and know him then we're excited for you to come back and learn more about Him. Every week on Anvil is packed full of fun and excitement, with lots of different activities, and we list those below, but we believe that knowing and encountering Jesus is what gives everything we list below real worth. Call the office if you want more info on what it means to Encounter Jesus.
ACTIVITIES
Each camp has it's own theme and activities, wide games that go along with that theme. However, no matter which camp you go up to every week we run the following awesome activities:
- wakeboarding
- tubing
- swimming
- basketball
- archery
- riflry
- kayaking
- water toys (trampoline and iceberg)
- crafts
- hiking
- and much more!
Maybe you've tried some or all of these activities, but imagine being able to experience all this in one week? From early morning wakeboarding to awesome outrips there's never a dull moment on Anvil!
RELATIONSHIPS
For every week of camp on Anvil Island we have a new batch of 85 amazing volunteers who take a week off work and away from their families to spend time on Anvil doing whatever they can to give you the week of your life. From Kitchen Crew to Cabin Leaders each staff member is excited to meet you and build a relationship with you. Each person who comes to Anvil has an amazing story to tell and they want to share it with you this summer.
On top of our amazing volunteers that come up we have a fantastic crew of summer staff (lifeguards, boat driver and canteen) who spend the entire summer up on Anvil keeping it running and keeping you safe and secure while you're there! We can't wait for you to meet everyone this summer!
THE PLACE
Anvil Island is amazingly unique, and you will notice this the minute you step off the boat onto our dock and are greeted by our amazing summer staff. Anvil is located in beautiful Howe Sound and is barely developed, isolated from the outside world and breathtakingly beautiful. From gorgeous summer days to nights where you can look up and see more stars then you can even imagine... it's an incredible testament to God's creation!
