Welcome To Camp 9

Camp 9 on Anvil Island is the finale to an amazing summer for any teenager ages 14 -16! Our staff work hard to create 7 days of adventure, authentic community and life long memories for young people.

At Camp 9, we are all about intentionality: from the way we have fun, to the way we worship God to the way we build community together.

Come experience it for yourself!

CAMP 9 THEME – ON THE ROAD

Hop on in kids. We’re paying a visit to our friendly neighbours down south. That’s right, we’re taking a road trip through the US of A! Join in as we travel and journey through different iconic states and stop by your favourite landmarks along the way. See you there!

Welcome To Camp 9

Each week brings about 75 volunteer staff dedicated to making this week an awesome experience for your child. Each camp has a Nurse or Doctor on staff, 4 certified lifeguards and 2 advanced first-aid attendants. The majority of our staff have served for many consecutive years and all have pre-camp training, criminal record checks and reference checks. A typical cabin has a Sr. Cabin Leader and a Junior Cabin Leader for 10 kids. We are committed to making this a safe, fun and loving environment for your child.

Meet the Director Team

Meet our Camp 9 Directing Team
Hi I’m Courtney Warner! I’ve been going to camp 9 for the last 15 years and have been helping direct camp 9 for the last 4 years. The camp 9 community is very special to me and I truly believe Jesus sent me to camp 9 as a sponsored camper to find that community knowing they would turn into family.
When I’m not at camp I’m working at BC Childrens & Womens hospital working with Indigenous youth experiencing substance misuse and mental health issues. My husband and I live in Vancouver with our 2 dogs and just welcomed our first baby this May!

Hi! My name is Bailey Davies and my connection to Anvil dates back to when my grandma started attending Daybreak in the 40s! I started my Anvil journey as a workers kid, then a camper, and then volunteering in many different capacities leading up to the assistant director role I have now. Anvil has always had such a special place in my life and I’m happy to now be bringing my own kids to experience God in new ways at Anvil. When I’m not at camp I run my own business working part time as a mental health occupational therapist. My husband, two kids and I recently relocated to Quesnel from Surrey to slow down our pace of life and spend more time outdoors together.

Hi everyone, I’m Mikaela and I’ve been coming up to Anvil 19 summers now- excited to hit the 20 year mark next year! After my camper years, I served as a cabin leader at a few different camps while always ending my summer doing program at camp 9. I eventually joined the leadership team as head program and am now thrilled to be part of the directing team. When I’m not at camp I’m a teacher in Vancouver, and enjoy spending time outside and doing life in community.
