On May 5th, 2018 we once again hosted our annual Anvil Fundraising Banquet. This was a wonderful evening of music, stories, good food, fellowship and raising funds for sponsorship and projects up at Daybreak. We raised over $100,000.00 in one night, thanks to the generosity of our guests!
The theme for the night was “planting seeds for the future” and every guest left with a little packet of seeds to plant, watch grow and pray for the camp as the seeds mature into plants. In the same way we hope that the seeds we plant with the campers up at Daybreak will grow and flourish once they are off the Island.
Thank you so much to each and every one of you who came out and supported the camp on this night. We had amazing volunteers who put in countless hours before the banquet and who worked tirelessly all day at the venue to make the evening a wonderful success.

Thank you to everyone who did such a wonderful job of preparing for and running this event. Thank you to Bethany Baptist and Sisters Act catering and their staff. Thank you to West Coast Seed Company for donating all the seeds for our guests. Thank you to Nicole Chong for designing our centerpiece verses and Danny Edgecombe and Ian McDouall for creating and cutting the wood for the centerpeices. And a very big thank you to Kayla Elderton for doing the lion’s share of work on the Banquet this year, and our wonderful volunteers for all their work setting up and organizing this event.
